BDPA is a national organization with over 40 chapters chartered throughout the United States. BDPA (Black Data Processing Associates) was founded in 1975 in Philadelphia, PA and continues today to bridge the Digital Divide with its programs and services. BDPA was formed out of a concern that minorities were not adequately represented in the computer industry. Organization membership is open to all with expressed interest in the information industry regardless of race, sex, religious beliefs or national origin. To research more information about the national BDPA or reach other chapters go to the web site www.bdpa.org.

BDPA is the premier organization for professionals in the Information Technology industry. For over 25 years, BDPA has fulfilled its mission and worked to "bridge the digital divide" by providing career growth opportunities for its members. We have increased technology awareness in our communities by providing educational and professional development opportunities through various programs in our chapters across the country.
