BDPA Twin-Cities was founded and chartered in 1989 to support S.T.E.M training for local black professionals and underrepresented students. Our Chapter is one of 55 national chapters, organized to address concerns about the overall lack of minority representation in leadership roles and career mobility within the IT sector.

BDPA Twin Cities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing students in grades 3–12 for success in information technology and computer science. Since 1989, we’ve provided free training in programming, web development, and other tech skills through hands-on learning, mentorship, and national competitions.

We serve youth from all backgrounds across the Twin Cities metro, with a commitment to building early access, strong skills, and real-world exposure to careers in technology.
